"Cultural Heritage Preservation through Digital Technology"

The 1999 CHPI was held in both Ann Arbor and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The Institute was held with two workshops this year; the first focusing on digital technology and the Internet in May and the second focusing on recording cultural heritage in late June. 1999's participants are from the Bay Mills Indian Community and five Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indian communities in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
