On July 1, 2006, RLG combined with OCLC, bringing together two of the world's largest membership-based information organizations (see RLG transition information). RLG Resource Sharing and Interlending services are impacted as part of the transition. RLG Union Catalog is migrating to OCLC's WorldCat service and RLG ILL Manager is being discontinued. The SHARES program is continuing under the same principles and guidelines.
