SISIS-SunRise IMX – Data Import/Export

Usage of external data from a variety of sources and formats is of essential importance in the daily work of a library's cataloguing and acquisition.
SISIS-SunRise IMX (Import/Export-Client) is the module in the SISIS-SunRise product line, that on one hand controls and manages the import of external data into the SISIS-SunRise system and on the other hand enables export out of the SISIS-SunRise database for further processing in other applications in a comfortable manner.

SISIS-SunRise IMX particularly supports you on the following tasks:

  • Reading of external data formats from CD-ROM, from files, callable via FTP or, if still necessary, from floppy disk.
  • Converting, loading and updating of external data, e.g. co-operative data, DB-MAB data, UNIMARC, USMARC, MARC21, VLB data, ekz-MAB data in SISIS category-schema and SISIS-SunRise database.
  • In doing so you can import both catalogue title data as well as data for standard files / reference files and stock and local data in MAB-LOKAL format. Data transfer, inverting and assignment of hierarchies optionally take place in one work step. On loading of stock data it is possible to load data for circulation at the same time, for example, location mark, media number etc.; sole transfer of circulation data is also possible.
  • The catalogue key hereby guarantees the assignment of book and catalogue data.
  • Unloading and converting of catalogue and local data in SISIS category-schema or in different external data formats, e.g. MAB2, UNIMARC, USMARC, MARC21
  • et-up and maintenance of external data pools with integration into the workflow of SISIS-SunRise cataloguing and SISIS-SunRise acquisition.

Product Highlights
