Standard Formats or Individual Bibliographic Structures?
SISIS-SunRise Catalogue enables creation of a central bibliographic database. Therefore, it provides a flexible category format which enables mapping and in-process modification of standard formats, like MAB2 and others, as well as of individual formats.
SISIS-SunRise Administration additionally defines if and how those categories are to be searched.

The catalogue provides an arbitrary number of data entry forms for collecting catalogue data specific to the selected category scheme.

The catalogue offers a wide range of support for migration of catalogue entries from Z39.50 databases or by transfering CD-ROM offers by VLB, ekz or Deutsche Bibliothek.
An individual external data pool supplements those possibilities of using external data.
For partners of library co-operations, supplementary products are available enabling record transfer from PICA- or Aleph consortium. Besides, further individual library network interfaces with similar functionality exist.

Function range of cataloguing covers all areas needed for stock building and maintaning of collection. Catalogue editing is done with standardised graphical user interfaces. You can easily switch between masks while editing (e.g. for editing different kinds of media). Differently configured query possibilities like Standard Search with integrated Expert Search facilitate retrieval of stored information. Electronic information meta-data - no problem for SISIS-SunRise Catalogue. URLs, for example, can be called and validated in your browser out of the application.
The following authority files are supported:
- personal names authority file
- institutions authority file
- subject authority file
- classification authority file
and additionally an ISBN publisher-register for easy data entry.
