  • OPAC

OCLC PICA’s Online Public Access Catalogue offers clear and user-friendly search facilities to both experienced and inexperienced library users. Searches can be performed on various combinations of elements from the record. For more experienced users, full Boolean searching, and proximity searching can be carried out. Search results can be sorted on relevance or by year of publication. There is no limit on the number of search results that can be retrieved. With the help of the download function, the user can download a collection of one or more selected records to an e-mail address.

    OPAC training module

For users, an OPAC training module was developed to help users to quickly become familiar with the most important features of the OPAC. This module can be used by anyone without help from library staff, which is particularly practical for libraries that serve large groups of patrons.
