The Local Library System works seamlessly and is fully integrated with a Shared Cataloguing System. Records that are loaded into the shared cataloguing system are directly sent and updated online, in the Local Library System. These records then become available simultaneously in all modules of the Local Library System. Building an OPAC is at the same time building a Union Catalogue! For local materials that are not relevant for a union catalogue, a local cataloguing facility is available; materials such as student papers, reports and brochures can be processed directly into the Local Library System.
