Many institutions today are striving to meet major strategic and societal challenges:

These tasks are made all the harder, as there is already much locally relevant information available, but from multiple providers. This is often commercially biased and users are either confused by, or ignorant of, their choices.
Moreover sorting through that information, when much of it is unstructured or categorised in multiple formats, reduces accuracy and consistency.
