As per 5 April 2007, after a legal demerger, two private limited liability companies were established in the Netherlands: OCLC PICA Group B.V. and OCLC PICA B.V. The OCLC PICA Group B.V. is a holding with the local companies as subsidiaries: in the Netherlands, Germany and Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the USA. This change was necessary to make our company structure more transparent and less complex.
As was the case before, OCLC PICA B.V. mainly serves the Benelux countries and the Southern European region from its branch office in Paris. It therefore concerns a legal change without any consequences for the services to our customers. Because OCLC PICA B.V. has been newly established in the legal sense, the only visible effect is that the Chamber of Commerce registration number and VAT number of the Dutch B.V. have changed. The existing contracts with customers will transfer under universal title to this ‘new’ company.
