Thesaurus facilities
You can use various thesaurus facilities in the CBS: existing national thesauri, shared thesauri of personal names, corporations and subject headings. The CAT-module also contains tools for you to build your own multilingual thesauri.
User-friendly tools
OCLC PICA has developed a user-friendly cataloguing tool for library staff, WinIBW. It operates under Windows and provides cataloguers with full editing facilities such as copy/paste, automatic linking to subject headings or authority headings, and scripting facilities for defining function keys creating macros. Via Z39.50 (TOLK Server) you can import data from external databases.
A simple web form allows you the input and maintenance of holdings. This functionality soon will also be integrated into our iPort portal, which makes data from external database like OCLC WorldCat accessible via CBS as well.
