State Librarian’s Report

Statewide Resource Sharing
It has been a very exciting month in Ohio for statewide resource sharing. The State Library of Ohio hosted a statewide videoconference on November 14 with representatives from all types of libraries in Ohio to plan the next phase in statewide resource sharing. Participants were located at seven sites across the state.
This report will be brief because most of the information about our collaborative activities and plans for the Next-Generation of Statewide Resource Sharing are on our website. Background information about statewide resource sharing in Ohio is available at Ohio Library Collaboration. The November 14 video conference was part of a process that started in May at the Ohio Libraries Partnership Summit in Columbus.
I appreciate the all of valuable input we received and plan to continue the dialog through our blog and monthly videoconferences. All library community members are welcome to participate.
