The Mesta Machine Company online collection contains 164 images from 1906 through 1920 that show the manufacturing of steel mill equipment and machinery, and the construction of several of Mesta's production facilities. Images were selected that visually document the Mesta facilities in West Homestead, its products, working conditions, and employees. The full collection, held by the Historical Society of Western Pennsylvania (HSWP), was acquired from the Park Corporation in 1995, and comprises over one thousand glass plate negatives taken between 1906 and 1925. Approximately one third of the collection is undated and unidentified. The collection contains 920 8" x 10" glass plate negatives; another 115 are 11" x 14" glass plate negatives. Several of the images were used in general information brochures and direct advertising material for the company

The Allegheny Conference on Community Development (ACCD) online collection contains 887 images from 1875 to 1981 showing the construction and destruction of many Downtown structures and neighborhood buildings. The collection also includes many scenes at various airports. Images were selected that exemplify themes of rebirth, modernization, and quality of life improvements for the Pittsburgh region during the post-World War II Renaissance period. The full collection, held by the Historical Society of Western Pennsylvania (HSWP), comprises over 10,000 images taken between about 1875 and 1981, which visually document the variety of work addressed by the ACCD. Such projects included urban renewal such as Gateway Center and Point State Park, which changed the landscape and skyline of the city of Pittsburgh, as well as large-scale building projects throughout the county such as the development and construction of Pittsburgh International Airport

The James Benney III online collection contains fifty-nine images from circa 1888-1989 depicting homes, churches, buildings, and street scenes. Images were selected that show diverse scenes of daily life of ordinary people, including both urban scenes of downtown Pittsburgh and the rural residential areas of the Emsworth community and Pittsburgh's East End neighborhood. The full collection, held by the Historical Society of Western Pennsylvania (HSWP), comprises one hundred images taken around 1889 by James Benney. A note on the back of one of the photographs in the collection states, "James Benney 1889 taker of the pictures Third generation of James Benney's."
