Revisioning the Afro-Anglican church : discernment, leadership & praxis by Charles A Wynder( Book )

2 editions published in 2012 in English and held by 1 WorldCat member library worldwide

"The challenges facing Afro-Anglican congregations involve questions of mission, ministry and leadership. Many Afro-Anglican congregations consist of a varied mixture of people of African-American, Afro-Caribbean, and African background or heritage. This diasporic context raises questions of identity, meaning, and purpose. It is against this backdrop that I seek to explore the heritage, identity, and ministry of Afro-Anglicans in the United States. I revision the identity and the ministry of Afro-Anglican Church by addressing the current context of Black communities, the Afro-Anglican Church, and critical components of visioning and leadership development. I will then propose a congregational approach to visioning for lay and ordained leaders seeking to be responsive to the needs of their surrounding neighborhoods and contribute to ministries justice, peace and reconciliation."

Faculty information and research needs : a qualitative study of Lesley University and Episcopal Divinity School faculty : final report by Sherrill Library( Book )

1 edition published in 2013 in English and held by 1 WorldCat member library worldwide

In the summer of 2011, the Library Assessment Workgroup began an investigation into the Lesley University and Episcopal Divinity School faculties' information needs for research and teaching. By exploring faculty members' perceptions of the library, and behaviors as researchers and instructors, we hoped to discern how well the library addresses their needs. The resulting project is a qualitative analysis of Lesley University and Episcopal Divinity School faculty members' use of the library in the research and instruction process. Through twenty-five interviews and 3 focus groups, we studied the information-seeking strategies of forty members of the faculties. The examination focused on three areas: faculty research habits, student research required by the faculty, and faculty perceptions of student research strategies and results. -- Abstract

Crossing a creek : Choosing antiracism identity as a white woman in Unitarian Universalist parish ministry by Rosemary Lee Edington( Book )

1 edition published in 1998 in English and held by 0 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

This project/thesis is about my personal attempt to come to grips with what it means to consciously choose antiracism. It has more to do with claiming antiracism as an identity than with actually doing antiracism work, although I do not deny that being and doing are intertwined. Focusing on the being, the identity, keeps it personal and helps me concentrate on learnings and experiences I have found helpful as I have joined the struggle for antiracism. In the context of this writing, it saved me from going down the track of describing various antiracism training programs and analyzing them as to which one would make someone capable of doing antiracism
