The writings include one holograph verse play (Colombe's Birthday), some autograph corrections of printed proof sheets (La Saisiaz and Jocoseria), and one holograph sonnet, "Tutti ga I so gusti e mi go I mii." The bulk of the correspondence is dated between 1876 and 1887 and discusses both his professional and personal life, and his Shelley related interests.
