La règle sportive(
Book
)
2 editions published in 2012 in French and held by 58 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Francia Leutenegger(
)
1 edition published in 2020 in French and held by 6 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Patrice Fournier(
)
2 editions published in 1997 in French and held by 4 WorldCat member libraries worldwide
The first part of this work is an attempt to reconstitute the evolution of the game over a period of about 50 years. Our postulate is that the succession of matches played, led to players solving problems encountered. Thus generating transformations in the game. Based on specialized books dealing with the evolution of artefacts, our assumptions establish that technical evolution goes through a succession of stages that are indicative of a complete reorganisation of the game. The analysis is based on a corpus of data originating from articles concerning the game published in the revue federale and from 15 audiovisual documents. The results obtained confirm our assumptions : three important periods can be distinguished, from 1940 to 1960, the 70s and the 80s. By successive reorganisation, each of these periods has contributed to create a new way of playing ; which was entirely different from the previous one by all its characteristics. Between these stages, the game is punctuated by innovations (always generated by the offensive game) which have generalised, differentiated to finally become stabilized and resulting in a new system of coherence. The second part consists of a multireferential analysis whose aim is to pinpoint some external factors which may have influenced the technical evolution of the game. Both a quantitative and qualitative analysis of the content of discourers found in articles from the 407 issues of the revue federale (players, trainers, managers, journalists...) has been carried out. this analysis has shown a divergence of views between those who tried, by their decisions, to direct volley ball in reference to the humanist ideology of p. Coubertin, and this in favour of a sport organized according to the commercial requirements of a "sport event". The results are evidence of the permanent presence of these two views within the "federation" and even if the first one prevailed until the mid 60s, the second has become increasingly important

de juin 2005 by
Didier Cariou(
)
1 edition published in 2017 in French and held by 4 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Julien Guillou(

)
3 editions published between 2006 and 2007 in French and held by 3 WorldCat member libraries worldwide
This research is interested in the dynamics of the student's activity in the classroom context in a badminton lesson. We decided to concentrate on a match situation as a " privileged study situation " (Grison, 1998). The student's activity is described from the research program of the " course of action " (Theureau, 1992, 2004, in press ; Theureau & Jeffroy, 1994). Six voluntary students took part in this study for several lessons of their badminton cycle. The analysis focused particularly on the closest game for the student in each lesson. Two kinds of materials were collected : (1) materials from audio and video recordings of the student's activity in the lesson and (2) materials from selfconfrontation interviews. The data analysis of the course of action leads us to identify two kinds of invariants in the course of action of the student : extrinsic constraints and typical episodes of match. The extrinsic constraints correspond to elements of the body, situation or culture of the student, that influence his activity. The typical episodes of match correspond to typical evolutions of the involvement of the student on the whole match or on a part of it. The discussion contributes to a cognitive anthropology of the student's activity in PE. It also studies the contributions of our study to the research program of the " course of action ". Lastly, it suggests orientations for the intervention of PE teachers in badminton lessons

In agreement with Eloi (2009), all specialists agree to recognize the dominating role of the setter in the performance of a volleyball team. It exists paradoxically, only few works available on this theme. The object of this thesis is the elaboration of a modelling of its decision-making activity at a high level, in situation of game. The stake is to characterize the complexity of the tactical decisions, by underlining the dynamic relations between the elaborate aspects and the sources of more general influence. By adapting the modelling of Mouchet (2003), we operate a friction of several scientific paradigms which offer various explanatory models of the cognition, bringing a particular lighting on the decision-making behaviours. Our epistemological posture consists in understanding the complexity (Morin, Le Moigne,1999; Le Moigne,1999) by a systemic approach, by investigating the decision-making behaviours in ecological situation, and by taking into account the point of view of the subject. We make the hypothesis that the system of influence, constituted by the culture, by the momentary environment and by the experience of the person, fills the decision-making activity by being compacted in the current action. Every player builds his own world by integrating the various levels according to a singular logic. Our study concerns four case studies of international French setters. To collect data of « the hidden part » (Gouju, 2001), we set up a methodology established by an armed observation, by a directive semi interview, by a simulation, and by video feedback (principle of triangulation)

L'improvisation en danse : une présence à l'instant by
Bruno Couderc(
Book
)
2 editions published in 2009 in French and held by 3 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

2 editions published in 2002 in French and held by 3 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

les joueurs by
Alan Traclet(

2 editions published in 2006 in French and held by 3 WorldCat member libraries worldwide
The aim of this explanatory study is to examine the influence of the perspective adopted by soccer players on the perceived legitimacy of aggression in football. The game reality shows some differences of interpretation between the players, according to the perspective that they can adopt in the situation. Differences exist also between the aggressor and the referee. In others words, it is important to take into account the actor/self's and the observer/other's perspectives. Studies on the “perspective-related differences” have suggested to each perspective correspond to a different interpretation of what is aggressive/illegitimate (e.g., Mummendey & Otten, 1989). The results of own work indicate (a) a persistent effect of the perspective adopted by players on the perceived legitimacy of aggression, (b) an influence of situational information on the self-other divergence, and (c) differences of perceptions between the “agressors” players and the referees/coaches

The aim of our thesis is to demonstrate that handball referees, faced with a very difficult information processing activity, could make specific stereotypes active and apply them in real conditions, in accordance with players' gender and competitive level, in order to help them make their decisions. Ninety handball games from departmental, regional and national masculine and feminine championships have been observed to determine whether specific referee stereotypes could find an application in real playing situations (Etude 1). Then an hundred referees took part in a test - study of decision making, to check the real influence of players' gender and competitive level over their decision (Etude 2). In fine, these subjects answered to a questionnaire allowing their specific stereotypes to be measured explicitly (Etude 3). The results reveal that referees' stereotypes could find a better application with failing situations happening when contact with the opponent such as : "blotting out", "bad ball", "loss of ball" and "missed shot", than with successful situations : " passes" and " good shots". The second study reveals that gender of players - and to a lesser extent their competitive level - has a significant influence on sportive and disciplinary decisions made by referees in failing situations. The third study however shows that referees have very consensual stereotypes, whether when gender but also competitive level of players is concerned, which indicates that decision making could be influenced in an equal part by these two dimensions

This study of a specific action in basketball was carried out in order to improve the conditons of the elaboration and the functioning of technical reasoning. The subject on which this exploration is based, the middle-distance shot, was chosen not only because of the impossibility of undertaking such an objective in a single study for the game as a whole but also because it is one of the typical actions, which is nevertheless problematical, in the field of teaching. The necessity to differentiate the operationalization, in an effort to better understand the singularity of the bodily technique concerned is recognized. This effort involves the description of what the technique entails, before being a process of transmission. It characterizes in part the technological approach. Digital images were used of game sequences of high level female players, such sequences are recognized as having the status of reference in practice for training purposes. A theoretical framework was constructed from the word action whose components related both to context and player were organized with an array of diverse knowledge and scientific information used as tools. It was conceived to describe the sturcture of certain particular shooting actions in matches. This made it possible to hone the pre-recorded observation and to carry out an interview with a player concerning the same sequences. These two studies made it possible to complete or correct the current technical views, notaly in the specialised literature, the analysis of which shows that they tend to remain restricted to the formal description of movements. The thesis according to which the mid-distance shot must be envisaged as a specific action, distinct from the game actions and the other shooting actions is supported here. The subject as a whole opens perspectives concerning didactic purposes for performance as well as for physical education

The subject of this research is the dynamics of the young tennis player's activity in return of service during entrainments and matches. These young tennis players aged 10-12 years old, are coaching by Tennis Brittany League. This research was conducted in collaboration with tennis coach in Brittany and three young players, during sport season. Fifteen interviews were analysed within the theoretical and methodological framework of « course of action ». To kinds of data were collected : (a) observing and recording data of entrainment and matches situations ; (b) young tennis player's autoconfrontation data. The results present the course of action local dynamics. They describe the player concerns when returning services. Next, they highlight the knowledge mobilization/construction during different situation. They present young tennis players' referential models, and a description of the knowledge mobilization/construction by actors in situation. The discussion makes a contribution to cognitive ergonomic of the sport actor activity. It studies the contributions, on the one hand, of the analysis of course of action's young tennis player and knowledge about entrainment, competition and compare between entrainment/matches, on the other hand, the contributions of the study about course of action. Lastly, it suggests directions in the field of ways young sport training

In the formal school education system, Physical Education, like the other disciplines in the system, must conform to certain standards and meet certain requirements. A well-defined structure, endorsed by official instructions linked to education policy normally allows for consistency between theory and practice. Following this functional organization which aims to achieve coherence and stability within the disciplines, there is no denying that the teaching curriculums are the instrument of reference. However, do these measures really guarantee consistency between what is actually taught in the various disciplines ? Considering in particular the transpositive phenomenon and the substitution series of the object of knowledge which originates from it, the question can be asked whether the programme-based structuring of disciplines in general and Physical Education in particular is the only field to take into account when judging the relevance of links between “knowledge to be taught” and “knowledge taught”. The case study, orientated in theory on the basis of a system of references which links curriculum sociology and didactic anthropology, defines the existence and application of a different process in PE teaching structure. By basing it on the structuring of space around the didactic system of the “noosphere” and the organization adopted in that system, leading to considering the functioning of the system along very different lines, the thesis shows how a particular way of determining, positioning and regulating knowledge thaught can be built up and developed according to the background of the teachers as well as of the noospherian space piloting it, the research highlights one of the important sources of resistance to the application of offical curriculums

The first purpose of this thesis was to measure the influence of causal attributions on a form of motivated behavior: short-term persistence in a putting task during perceived failure. The second was to evaluate the effects of an attributional training program on varied psychological and behavioral variables. The findings of the first three studies show that - state-attributions do not influence individuals short-term persistence (study 1), - expectations, like emotions, intervene just partially in the attributions-persistence relation (study 2), - and attributional style influence this same persistence (study 3). Finally, the findings of study 4 show that feedback issued to individuals influence their causal perception and behavior, and that effects of this program are lasting and can be generalized to other situations. The result of this research would be to put a training in place for coaches in order to teach them how to better react in front of athletes in failure situations
