The installation of solar panels is experiencing strong growth, according to forecasts should still increase short-medium and long term. The different PV technologies are often divided by generations, reflecting the progress of their research and their arrival on the market. As such, the development of a new generation of solar cells based on Cu2Zn(Sn,Si)S4 looks promising. We sum interested in this work to expand the family of these quaternary chalcogenides, by the gradual substitution of tin by silicon, these compounds are named CZTSiS. The RX analysis showing a structural transformation in the series Cu2Zn(Sn,Si)S4, the replacement of tin with silicon leads to a reduction in the volume mesh. Furthermore, the two compounds of this group limits do not have the same crystal structure; it changed a quadratic mesh Cu2ZnSnS4 to orthorhombic mesh Cu2ZnSiS4. These results were confirmed by optical and spectroscopic, studies allowed us to better understand the processes occurring with the insertion of silicon in the matrix studied. To investigate the potential of these new compounds (CZTSiS) as absorbers in solar cells, conductivity measurements were performed using impedance spectroscopy. Une des avancées les plus notables de ces dernières années en cryptographie est sans contredit l'introduction du premier schéma de chiffrement complètement homomorphe par Craig Gentry. Ce type de système permet de réaliser des calculs arbitraires sur des données chiffrées, sans les déchiffrer. Cette particularité permet de répondre aux exigences de sécurité et de protection des données, par exemple dans le cadre en plein développement de l'informatique en nuage et de l'internet des objets. Les algorithmes mis en œuvre sont actuellement très coûteux en temps de calcul, et généralement implantés sous forme logicielle. Les travaux de cette thèse portent sur l'accélération matérielle de schémas de chiffrement homomorphes. Une étude des primitives utilisées par ces schémas et la possibilité de leur implantation matérielle est présentée. Ensuite, une nouvelle approche permettant l'implantation des deux fonctions les plus coûteuses est proposée. Notre approche exploite les capacités offertes par la synthèse de haut niveau. Elle a la particularité d'être très flexible et générique et permet de traiter des opérandes de tailles arbitraires très grandes. Cette particularité lui permet de viser un large domaine d'applications et lui autorise d'appliquer des optimisations telles que le batching. Les performances de notre architecture de type co-conception ont été évaluées sur l'un des cryptosystèmes homomorphes les plus récents et les plus efficaces. Notre approche peut être adaptée aux autres schémas homomorphes ou plus généralement dans le cadre de la cryptographie à base de réseaux

JNK-Dependent cJun Phosphorylation Mitigates TGF beta- and EGF-Induced Pre-Malignant Breast Cancer Cell Invasion by Suppressing AP-1-Mediated Transcriptional Responses by Anders Sundqvist( )

Transforming growth factor-beta (TGF beta) has both tumor-suppressive and tumor-promoting effects in breast cancer. These functions are partly mediated through Smads, intracellular transcriptional effectors of TGF beta. Smads form complexes with other DNA-binding transcription factors to elicit cell-type-dependent responses. Previously, we found that the collagen invasion and migration of pre-malignant breast cancer cells in response to TGF beta and epidermal growth factor (EGF) critically depend on multiple Jun and Fos components of the activator protein (AP)-1 transcription factor complex. Here we report that the same process is negatively regulated by Jun N-terminal kinase (JNK)-dependent cJun phosphorylation. This was demonstrated by analysis of phospho-deficient, phospho-mimicking, and dimer-specific cJun mutants, and experiments employing a mutant version of the phosphatase MKP1 that specifically inhibits JNK. Hyper-phosphorylation of cJun by JNK strongly inhibited its ability to induce several Jun/Fos-regulated genes and to promote migration and invasion. These results show that MEK-AP-1 and JNK-phospho-cJun exhibit distinct pro- and anti-invasive functions, respectively, through differential regulation of Smad- and AP-1-dependent TGF beta target genes. Our findings are of importance for personalized cancer therapy, such as for patients suffering from specific types of breast tumors with activated EGF receptor-Ras or inactivated JNK pathways
Hydrogeochemical and isotopic investigation and water quality assessment of groundwater in the Sisseb El Alem Nadhour Saouaf aquifer (SANS), northeastern Tunisia( )

Abstract: In the Sisseb El Alem Nadhour Saouaf basin (SANS), as in all other arid regions, surface water is scarce and groundwater is the greatest most important source of water for all uses. This study aims to identify the processes governing groundwater mineralization in order to assess the suitability of the groundwater for drinking and agriculture purposes. This research used a geodatabase which includes information on hydrogeology, geochemistry, land cover, and geology. We identified the most important factors involved in the deterioration of water quality, including anhydrite and gypsum dissolution, silicate weathering, downward leakage between aquifers, evaporation, groundwater over-exploitation, and the overuse of fertilizers. Furthermore, the two following important factors were identified: the intrusion of Sebkhat El Kelbia and the vertical flow from the deep aquifer. Results were used to develop a conceptual geochemical model, wherein three geochemical regions were differentiated. Statistical techniques, such as Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and Hierarchical Cluster Analysis (HCA) were used to confirm the water affinities and the presence of three different geochemical regions. The water quality index (WQI), Wilcox and Richards's diagrams were performed to assess the suitability of groundwater to drinking and irrigation purposes. These indexes confirm the fact that the groundwater of this aquifer is not suitable for irrigation, neither for drinking. Furthermore, 18 O and deuterium isotope data indicate the importance of evaporation in the basin, and the recharge with modern rainfall. Highlights: Identify the processes governing groundwater mineralization. Discuss the natural and anthropogenic factors controlling the groundwater quality degradation. Classify the geochemical parameters and the samples using statistical techniques (PCA and HCA). Assess the suitability of the groundwater for drinking and agriculture purposes. Validate the hypothesis using the groundwater isotopic identity

Following the objectives of the Media Pluralism Monitor, this section aims to analyse to what extent the introduction of public funding dedicated to the online journalism contributes to reinforce the independence, plurality and the quality of the journalistic offer in the country. We will first provide an overview of the issues online media face in Luxembourg before dealing more in detail with the new national regulation on online media funding. Specifically, we will analyse how it differs from the existing public subsidies for the print media and to what extend online media have benefited from these fundings. This analysis should allow us to evaluate whether the introduction of the subsidies for online journalism positively affects the media concentration, the linguistic and ideological plurality and whether it contributes to improving the quality of the media production
