12 editions published between 2010 and 2011 in English and held by 1,269 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

"Set against the political and social upheavals of the 1960s, A Room Where the Star-Spangled Banner Cannot Be Heard tells the story of Ben Isaac, a blond-haired, blue-eyed American youth living with his father at the American consulate in Yokohama. Chafing against his father's strict authority and the trappings of an American culture that has grown increasingly remote, Ben flees home to live with Andō, his Japanese friend. Refusing to speak English with Ben, Andō shows the young American the way to Shinjuku, the epicenter of Japan's countercultural movement and the closest Ben has ever felt to home."--Jacket

Pit sok e by Sa-ryang Kim( Book )

1 edition published in 2015 in Korean and held by 27 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

""Into the Light" can be read as a sharp critique of naisen ittai ideology, which attempted to unite the metropole and peripheries together through the language and blood of a single ethnic nation. "Into the Light" depicts the existential resistance of an individual against a group ideology of language and blood intent on oppressing the individual through historical universality. In doing so, it reveals all the possibilities of Japanese-language fiction by Korean writers."

1 edition published in 1974 in Spanish and held by 1 WorldCat member library worldwide
