3 editions published in 2021 in French and held by 14 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

1 edition published in 2016 in French and held by 11 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

1 edition published in 2010 in French and held by 2 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

1 edition published in 2019 in French and held by 1 WorldCat member library worldwide

At the confluence of language sciences and French as a Foreign Languages (FFL) didactics, this doctoral research focuses on the teaching of grammar and the transposition of a complex but fundamental class of words in French: the verb. We aim at describing and analysing, with a comprehensive and ecological approach, FFL teachers' grammatical practices struggling with morphological, syntactical, lexical and enunciative characteristics of the verb in French. Our research is based on three FFL teachers working in a university language centre in France. We gathered class observations (levels A2 and B1.1) covering verbal tenses. Beyond the exposition of the teaching framework, the synopsis of the lessons allowed the division of significant extracts which reveal didactic gestures of the teachers and on which they have been invited to put into words through self-confrontation interviews in order to emerge motives of the didactic action and obstacles encountered. After drawing the outline of the verb on a linguistic, acquisitive, and didactic aspects, we will bring to light that the teachers' grammatical practices come within the scope of a written tradition of morpho-verbal treatment and that the emergence of verbal tenses usage is at the core of a high-risk grammatical practice. Some recommendations for the teaching of the verb in FFL will finally be given

1 edition published in 2018 in French and held by 1 WorldCat member library worldwide

This thesis is devoted to the narrative work of François Bon. Therefore it concerns the novels, stories, autobiographies and biographies which were published by the writer from 1982 to 2016. So, the central question of a new way of reading and writing linked to the development of digital technology will only be addressed when it will shed light on the way books by the author of Sortie d'usine work. This thesis is thus focused on three essential dimensions of the contemporary that François Bon's work constantly and recurrently questions: the origin, the memory and the problematic of a reality that is both imposed as evidence in its most obvious manifestations and retracted as rejected when it calls into question the order and the unfolding of the world in which we find ourselves immersed. It thus addresses a certain number of themes and reflections underlying a literature in the present: the emergence of the new within an ancient world, even contradictory signs that this phenomenon induces, the fundamental importance that the era could have from the point of view of history. It also explores the link between the economic-industrial machine and a new neo-liberal world order that evacuates, escapes and recycles both past and present while at the same time writing a story that we can be sure it does not in any way correspond to the expression of a truth. In this research work, new patterns are most often explored in the very relationship that the author maintains with fields that until recently did not constitute eminently literary concerns: the pop-rock universe, a phenomenology of mechanics and the automobile, the presence of a post-industrial world in which the factories and the workers appear as so many emblems and symbols
Questionner l'espace : Les méthodes de recherche en didactiques (4) by Rosianne Arseneau( )

1 edition published in 2018 in French and held by 1 WorldCat member library worldwide

1 edition published in 2016 in French and held by 1 WorldCat member library worldwide

The historical narratives attached to this period were mainly marked by hybridity. They oscillate between the biographical and autobiographical, fact and fiction, the individual and the collective, and the current and the universal. They immersed into the themes of anguish and death, reverberating the human condition. In this vein, the novella of twentieth century sounds reflecting this new perception of history. It is a protean genre that offers a more flexible narrative framework involving altogether referential, poetic, symbolic and universal scopes of writing.Kessel, Camus and Dib go beyond mere obsession with a specific period to provide a more personal view of history. To this end, they reshape the historical discourse and its ideologies, translating them with, by and in their fictional texts. They disrupt the chronology, linearity and totality

1 edition published in 2019 in French and held by 1 WorldCat member library worldwide

This doctoral work is intended to be a comparative approach in contemporary French literature. The title of the project: « Towards a poetics of the contemporary "récit de filiation": around La Place (Gallimard, 1983) by Annie Ernaux and Vies minuscule (Gallimard, 1984) by Pierre Michon" will be the expression synthetic as well as critical of an attempt to approach, identify and evaluate a non-irrelevant part of this burgeoning literature. It will first be an opportunity to show the characteristics, challenges and limits of the "récit de filiation", an expression coined by Dominique Viart in an article that dates from 1999. Then, starting from these results, we will explain the literary and scientific interest of the study of the two bookis of our corpus and how they are perfectly representative of the birth of this genre in the early 80s, which will concretely translate into the quantitative and qualitative success that must be interpreted as the undeniable proof that this contemporary period tries, through this genre, to grasp some deep reasons for his being and his future. This research will deliberately use an approach that will implement analytical tools belonging to several distinct but complementary fields: literary history, general and comparative literature, sociology, ethnology, anthropology and poetics intimate writing. This choice is at the same time motivated by the initial formation received in Modern Letters, and imposed by the nature of the subject; a multidisciplinary reading of this emerging literature and this emerging genre will become an evidence. Moreover, in order to better understand the problematic, we will also adopt historical, generic, thematic, stylistic and narratological approaches

1 edition published in 2014 in French and held by 1 WorldCat member library worldwide

This doctoral dissertation provides information on how Haitian pupils structure their written text at specific stages of the process of acquiring French as their academic language. Examining how narrative stories are constructed, on the one hand, the capacity of students to express complex events (macro-structural analysis) and, on the other hand, the referential means that are put to work: introducing, maintaining, and reintroducing the protagonists and the story to tell (micro-structural analysis). Stories have been gathered in Haitian Creole L1 and in French L2 from the story les Oisillons (Young birds). The corpus is made up of 160 stories (80 in Haitian Creole, 80 in French). The pupils surveyed whose age and school level are different (9-10 years old / 4th grade and 11-12 years old / 6th grade) come from 4 different schools of the Haitian capital. These schools occupy different positions on the scale of social and school values. Several factors including age, school level, and acquisition context of the French language have been considered for the two axes of analysis. The research focuses mainly on stories written in French L2, which is the language in the process of being acquired, but some elements of L1 are also examined. The results of the analysis reveal mainly an important variation in the development of the narrative and language capacity of the subjects in L2 between the 4 school groups that are represented. At the same time, it is shown how school which is the main place for the acquisition of French influences the development of language competence of Haitian pupils in L2. This is the point that is described in this study

1 edition published in 2018 in French and held by 1 WorldCat member library worldwide

The research focuses on a specific problematic to an evolving education system. Our orientation in this thesis is rather didactic; its objective is to study the effects of a new way of teaching on the teaching practices; including effects on student / teacher interactions and student participation. The answer to the research question required a descriptive and analytical study of the teachers to clarify the degree of application of the official instructions, what types of didactic contract established and “who does what” in relation to knowledge (topogenesis). A survey was also conducted with parents to get their point of view on this change. This research has used two approaches: mixed (qualitative and quantitative) and clinical. The results analysis of this thesis show that the interviewed teachers integrate the curriculum change despite difficulties related to their training, the classroom arrangement and the time allotted. The didactic analysis reveals an impact on the student / teacher interaction (oral lesson) but the place of the pupils in the construction of the knowledge remains marginal: the topogenetic position of the teacher is dominant and the adidactical situations which allow the pupils to build their knowledge by themselves are most often absent. Parents have a generally positive point of view despite some reservations. Our work opens perspectives on the effects of change on student achievement and on improving teacher training in Syria
