The Francis L. Broderick Papers include a loose-leaf binder of approximately 380 pages, containing handwritten notes made by Broderick, apparently in preparation for his book, Right Reverend New Dealer: John A. Ryan (1963). Many of his notes are made from primary sources housed in the American Catholic History Research Center and University Archives at Catholic University. Ryan (1869-1945) was a domestic prelate, moral theologian, and Catholic pioneer for American social reform
