Diary inscribed on flyleaf: "To Evelyn from Daddy Graduation Day June 13th, '23" Evelyn begins the diary the night of her high school graduation June 13, 1923. She is an upper class girl living in Washington state who appears to be 16 or 17 and attends the "U" in the fall and lives at home. She writes mostly of her social life of parties, clubs, golfing, sororities and pledging, with many entries about the boys and young men she dates or with whom she attends formal and informal dances, and social events with her girl friends. She moves to the sorority house second semester. The diary begins in the middle of the book at June 13 and continues in date order to the end and the beginning pages. Diary ends May 19; all of April is blank
