Histological typing of urinary bladder tumours by Fathollah Keshvor Mostofi( Book )

7 editions published in 1973 in English and Italian and held by 177 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

"The 1973 WHO classification of bladder tumours anticipated a probable need for eventual revision of the criteria for diagnosing papillary and flat bladder neoplasia. A workshop sponsored by WHO consisting of pathologists, urologists, cytologists, oncologists and basic scientists interested in bladder tumours addressed this subject and, after a follow-up meeting sponsored by the International Society of Urological Pathology, the classification and terminology used in this text were agreed upon. A major change is in the introduction of a new category: papillary urothelial neoplasm of low malignant potential. Many of the tumours previously designated as papillary transitional cell carcinoma, grade I now fall into that category. Another major change is in the designation of flat lesions, and this includes a definition of carcinoma in situ. Furthermore, a number of variant forms of urothelial carcinomas are included as well as new entities not recognized when the first edition was issued."--BOOK JACKET

Câncer no Brasil : dados histopatológicos, 1976-80 by Rudolfo Brumini( Book )

5 editions published in 1982 in Portuguese and held by 95 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Histological typing of odontogenic tumours, jaw cysts, and allied lesions by World Health Organization( Visual )

2 editions published in 1971 in English and held by 14 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

This book contains the histological classification of odontogenic tumours, jaw cysts and allied lesions developed under the auspices of the World Health Organization International Reference Centre for the Histological Definition and Classification of Odontogenic Tumours and Allied Lesions at the Department of Oral Pathology, Royal Dental College, Copenhagen, Denmark. This book also contains color plates of representative tumours. These color plates are available as color transparencies intended for teaching purposes. The classification of these tumours appears to be based in part on the direct relationship between an atypical osteoid-like tissue and the odontogenic epithelium which indicates that the material isdysplastic dentine. The scope of the classification of these tumours includes: neoplasms and jaw cysts arising from the odontogenic apparatus, distinctive jaw lesions of uncertain status, and certain tumours, tumour-like lesions and soft tissue lesions that are distinctive and difficult to diagnose when occurring in the jaws. The major divisions and subdivisions of the classification scheme are as follows: major division, neoplasms and other tumours related to the odontogenicapparatus, major subdivisions, benign, malignant; major division, neoplasms and other tumours related to bone, major subdivisions osteogenic neoplasms, non-neoplastic bone lesions; major division epithelial cysts, major subdivisions developmental and inflammatory; major division, unclassified lesions. The text includes explanatory notes for each class of tumours. Because many of these tumours are intraosseous, radiographs are provided when considered essential to the identification and classification of a tumour
Histological typing of oral and oropharyngeal tumours by World Health Organization( Visual )

1 edition published in 1971 in English and held by 13 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

This presentation contains a histological classification of oral and oropharyngeal tumours developed under the direction of the World Health Organization International Reference Centre for the Histological Definition and Classification of Oral and Oropharyngeal tumours at the Department of Pathology, Sarojini Naidu Medical College, Agra, India. The presentation also contains brief notes which describe each type of tumour. Color photomicrographs of representative tumours are included. Oral and oropharyngeal tumours are classified into seven broad categories: tumours of squamous epithelium, tumours of glandular epithelium, tumours of soft tissues, tumours of the melanogenic system, tumours of disputed or uncertainhistogenesis, unclassified tumours, tumour-like conditions. Most of these categories are subdivided into benign and malignant groups

Histological typing of skin tumours by Peter J Heenan( Book )

4 editions published in 1974 in English and held by 7 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

In this second edition of the Histological Typing of Skin Tumours, the concise format of the first edition has been maintained. The number of tumours described, however, has increased considerably, especially in the melanocytic, adnexal, fibrous tissue and lymphoid neoplasms. Care has been taken to avoid needless subclassification, with the aim of limiting the expansion of categories to those fulfilling demonstrable histological criteria. The commentaries remain succinct whilst including the major diagnostic points, with reference to relevant immunohistochemical features. More than 200 new illustrations are included. Close collaboration with the authors of the AFIP Atlas of Tumor Pathology on Melanocytic and Non-melanocytic Tumours of the Skin ensures a consistent approach to the classification of skin tumors
