The study begins with a definition of agri-tourism and a review of the current situation of agri-tourism in Nova Scotia. It also highlights agri-tourism initiatives in other provinces and countries, outlining key factors involved in the success of those initiatives. Five case studies are included which describe successful agri-tourism operations in Massachusetts, Ontario, Ireland, Prince Edward Island, and Australia.
