Judge John Sirica : setting the record straight on Richard Nixon and Watergate by
John J Sirica(
Recording
)
1 edition published in 1979 in English and held by 1 WorldCat member library worldwide
In an inerview with CBS News, Judge John Sirica looks back on the Watergate Affair and his own role in the case. The Watergate conspirators were greedy for power, not money, he says. Nixon, he feels, should have been indicted, and if convicted sent to jail -- Author Elie Wiesel, himself a survivor of a death camp, describes the Holocaust as the unthinkable become real. The survivors must keep the memory alive, he says, for they have learned never to remain neutral in the face of aggression -- Author and Holocaust survivor Helen Epstein discusses her own life and that of other "children of the Holocaust". These children, she says, seek to live out the unlived lives of those who died and are anxious, in turn, to have children so as to perpetuate life -- In his remarks at a Holocaust commemoration ceremony, President Carter asserts that we are all victims "when any fellow human being is stripped of humanity" and says that such a tragedy must never be allowed to occur again
