"Artemisia was born in 1593 in Rome, the daughter of Orazio Gentileschi, an excellent painter and famous, passed by the same fame and daughter in the same passion for painting: the story of a woman and an artist is collected in a monograph, published from 24 HOURS Culture - Artemisia had to wait more than three centuries recognized by posterity to see its status as art. The exhibition and catalog include more than 60 works by a group of 18 artists, dubbed "The Irascibles", who in 1950 boycotted a major exhibition dedicated to contemporary American art organized by the Metropolitan Museum of New York, refusing inclusion in the exhibition due to their distrust of the jurors' selection criteria.
