He married Mary Jane Wathen (1805-1864) in 1821 in Wash- ington County, Kentucky. She was born in Nelson Co., Kentucky, a daughter of Sylvester and Sarah Simms Wathen. Descendants live in Kansas, Kentucky, Canada and elsewhere
