The NASA atlas of the solar system by Ronald Greeley( )

24 editions published between 1996 and 1997 in English and held by 1,555 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Describes every planet, moon, and body that has been the subject of a NASA mission, including images of 30 solar system objects and maps of 26 objects. The presentation includes geologic history, geologic and reference maps, and shaded relief maps
Planetary landscapes by Ronald Greeley( Book )

36 editions published between 1985 and 1994 in English and Undetermined and held by 1,185 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

This introductory text concentrates on the surface features of the planets and satellites of our Solar System. The author first discusses the primary processes that shape our planet and then goes on to the geomorphology of the objects in the Solar System for which data are available from space missions like Voyager. The second edition includes new information about Venus and a new chapter on Neptune. The book is heavily illustrated with high resolution black and white photos from recent space probes and orbiting spacecraft, with explanatory diagrams. Each chapter contains a description of the general physiography and terrain units and the geomorphic processes that created them. A synopsis of the geologic evolution of the surface is given. Selected references include original papers, review articles, and books
Earthlike planets : surfaces of Mercury, Venus, Earth, Moon, Mars by Bruce C Murray( Book )

The compact NASA atlas of the solar system by Ronald Greeley( )

14 editions published between 2001 and 2002 in English and held by 677 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Includes maps, photographs, and photomontages for every celestial body visited by a NASA spacecraft during the past forty years, and provides descriptions, historical background, and other information
Wind as a geological process : on Earth, Mars, Venus, and Titan by Ronald Greeley( Book )

20 editions published between 1983 and 2009 in English and held by 620 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

This book gives an account of geological aspects of windblown material. Aeolian processes play an important role in modifying the surface of the Earth, and they are also active on Mars. Additionally, they are thought to occur on Venus and possibly Titan as well. The authors describe the following aspects: wind as a geological process, the aeolian environment, physics of particle motion, aeolian abrasion and erosion; aeolian sand deposits and bedforms, interaction of wind and topography and windblown dust. A particular strength of the book is that it deals with aeolian processes in a planetary context, rather than as a purely terrestrial phenomenon. In so doing, the authors ably demonstrate how we can gain better understanding of the Earth through comparative planetology. This paperback reissue will enable the book to be used as a text for advanced students in planetary science. Special terms are defined when they are first used. There is a glossary and an exhaustive bibliography

Introduction to planetary geomorphology by Ronald Greeley( Book )

15 editions published between 2012 and 2013 in English and held by 224 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

"Nearly all major planets and moons in our Solar System have been visited by spacecraft and the data they have returned has revealed the incredible diversity of planetary surfaces. Featuring a wealth of images, this textbook explores the geological evolution of the planets and moons. Introductory chapters discuss how information gathered from spacecraft is used to unravel the geological complexities of our Solar System. Subsequent chapters focus on current understandings of planetary systems. The textbook shows how planetary images and remote sensing data are analyzed through the application of fundamental geological principles. It draws on results from spacecraft sent throughout the Solar System by NASA and other space agencies. Aimed at undergraduate students in planetary geology, geoscience, astronomy and solar system science, it highlights the differences and similarities of the surfaces at a level that can be readily understood by non-specialists"--
