The global village: America, good citizen or bad? by Alfred E Kahn( Recording )

1 edition published in 1994 in English and held by 3 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Kahn claims that U.S. economic problems are insignificant compared to the political problems facing us - Ruwanda, Bosnia, Haiti, North Korea -- and likens its disgruntled attitude about the economy to that of a "spoiled child" who's not willing to get its act together and doesn't even know how. Roldn argues that critical challenges face U.S. and Latin American relations particularly around such issues as criminality and security, and she calls for increased dialogue between the countries involved. Katzenstein addresses the rebuilding of America, arguing that we are emeshed in world wide contexts of our own making and these complexities must be addressed in our plans for change. (Introduction by Don Randel, Dean of the College of Arts & Sciences, Cornell.)
