Es ist fast so etwas wie eine Familienproduktion: Für zwei große Beethoven-Konzerte haben sich die Pianistin Mari Kodama und ihr Ehemann, der Dirigent Kent Nagano, mit dem Deutschen Symphonie-Orchester Berlin zusammengetan. Auf ihrem Programm: das Tripelkonzert - 1803/04 in einer äußerst produktiven Schaffensphase entstanden, in einer Zeit, in der Beethoven auch die "Eroica" komponierte - und das dritte Klavierkonzert aus dem Jahr 1800, da war Beethoven an einem Höhepunkt seiner Virtuosenkarriere angelangt. Die beiden anderen Solisten im Tripelkonzert sind Kolja Blacher und Johannes Moser.
