Eine bescheidene Pianistin beschwört keine Bravourliteratur hervor, sondern sie bevorzugt die sachten Töne. Hier kann sie ihre riesige Ausdruckspalette regelrecht aufblättern. Es langweilt nie. Es ist immer erzählend, den Letzten Worten kann man immer folgen, kann mitfühlen. Yaara Tal versteht es, diese Welt von Schmerz und Leid und auch Hoffnung beängstigend nahe zu bringen und zeigt, wie weit Haydn hier seiner Zeit in einigen Passagen voraus war, denn zwischen den opernhaften Floskeln, die vorkommen, finden sich immer Abschnitte, die schon weit in die Romantik reichen - gerade in der Klavierfassung wird das besonders deutlich" (kulturradio.de)
