Behind the labels garment workers on U.S. Saipan by T Lessin ( Visual )
3 editions published in 2001 in English and held by 8 WorldCat member libraries worldwide
"Lured by false promises and driven by desperation, thousands of Chinese and Filipina women pay high fees to work in garment factories on the pacific island of Saipan, the only U.S. territory exempt from labor and immigration laws. The clothing they sew, bearing the "Made in the USA" label, is shipped duty and quota-free to the U.S for sale by The GAP, J. Crew, Polo and other retailers. Powerful hidden camera footage, along with the garment workers' personal stories, offers a rare and unforgettable glimpse into indentured labor and the workings of the global sweatshop where 14 hour shifts, payless paydays, and lock-downs are routine. Behind the labels takes the story from the factory floor to the streets, where protesters worldwide wage an ongoing battle against globalization."
The assassination of President Kennedy : what do we know now that we didn't know then? ( Visual )
1 edition published in 2008 in English and held by 2 WorldCat member libraries worldwide
"An examination of the events surrounding the assassination of President John F. Kennedy in Dallas in 1963 and the Warren Commission inquiry that followed, produced by author and journalist Anthony Summers. The film starts with news footage of the Nov. 22, 1963, assassination and its aftermath. Then it explores a number of theories concerning who killed the president and why, some implicating important political figures of the day. The film also examines assertions that the Warren Commission covered up much of what it discovered about the assassination, or that it didn't pursue the assassination with an interest in finding out what really happened. Produced by Summers for Witness Productions."--Container

1 edition published in 1978 in English and held by 1 WorldCat member library worldwide
Summary: President John F. Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas on 22 November 1963. Only 80 minutes after the event, his alleged assassin, Lee Harvey Oswald, was charged with the shooting of a police officer. Before he could be tried, Oswald himself was shot by Jack Ruby, a nightclub owner with connections to organised crime. Charged with investigating the killing of the president, the officially appointed Warren Commission concluded that Oswald had acted alone and that there was no evidence of a conspiracy. Fifteen years later, this film re-examines the evidence and challenges many of the findings of the Warren Commission. In particular it investigates the movements of Oswald during the months prior to the assassination, the attempts of certain government agencies to withhold or destroy evidence relating to the case and the alleged involvement of organised crime and Cuban nationals in plans to assassinate the president
