For over twenty years, the 13 acclaimed artists represented in this documentary have ingeniously expressed their experiences of life in Cuba. They have survived cultural politics, difficult living conditions, and resource shortages that limited their access to the most basic materials, like paper. The present multimedia DVD interviews the artists and editors of Ediciones Vigía, a collaborative artists' press founded in 1985 in Matanzas and the only press of its kind. Its limited editions of works are designed and illustrated primarily by Rolando Estévez. Participating artists include Sandra Ramos, René Peña, Rocío García, Sandra Ceballos, Ibrahim Miranda, Danilo Moreno, José Ángel Vincench, Carlos Estévez, brothers Yoan and Iván Capote, René Bravo Quintana, Tonel (Antonio Eligio Fernández) and Olympya Ortiz, the bookmaking collective Ediciones Viga, and the print collective, La Huella Múltiple
