Straight ahead by Oliver Nelson( )

18 editions published between 1970 and 2016 in 3 languages and held by 225 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

One of the most underrated jazz musicians of all time, Oliver Nelson's career was cut short by a fatal heart attack at the age of 43. Before his death, however, he produced a body of work that is still highly regarded and continues to attract new devotees on a regular basis. Straight Ahead was originally released in 1961 and is considered one of the best albums issued under his name. The key component in this recording is his collaborations with Eric Dolphy, the master saxophonist, the duets giving the album its overall warm feel. There's a mix of tempos throughout, making this an exceptional album from start to finish
