"This work describes the paintings of Felix Vallotton, a key member of the Nabi brotherhood, comprising Bonnard, Denis and Vuillard, all of whom were active in fin-de-siecle Paris. It also covers the way his style was related to the neue Sachlichkeit in Germany and to dadaism and surrealism."--Amazon

9 editions published between 1995 and 2014 in English and held by 121 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

"Loosely based on the two-part BAD GIRLS exhibition at The New Museum of Contemporary Art in Manhattan, "Reclaiming the body" goes beyond the scope of the exhibition to include other significant contributors to the history of feminist art. The film spans three generations of artists from Louise Bourgeois to Janine Antoni, to give an overview of feminist art from the 1960s to the present."

Art in an age of mass culture( Visual )

2 editions published between 2004 and 2007 in English and held by 14 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Conceived as a response to the much discussed and now legendary exhibition HIGH & LOW: HIGH ART AND POPULAR CULTURE, a survey of the spectacle of the interaction of consumer culture and the artistic avant-garde which opened at the Museum of Modern Art in New York in the fall of 1990, this film explores, in a parallel fashion, those issues initially addressed in the exhibition itself. Structured around a walk-through of the show with its curators Kirk Varnedoe and Adam Gopnik, the film dwells on specific aspects of the dialogue established in the twentieth century between modernism and mass culture, from the collages of Braque and Picasso through the seminal Pop images of Roy Lichtenstein to the LED signs of Jenny Holzer. Interviews with many of the artists included in the exhibition, among them Roy Lichtenstein, Jenny Holzer, Jeff Koons, and Elizabeth Murray, as well as critics enrich the presentation of this subject that is most crucial to an understanding of the art of our time
