Smith and John Henry Smith, was originally published in the Standard (Ogden, Utah) on May 24, 1892; the second letter is a response from Moses Thatcher, dated May 25, 1892. Both refer to a speech delivered by Thatcher at the Territorial Democratic Convention in Ogden, Utah, May 14, 1892, which is also reprinted here.
