Nach dem Auftakt in der Kunsthalle zu Kiel im Sommer 2010 zeigt die Feininger-Galerie die Ausstellung "Welten-Segler. T. Lux Feininger zum 100. Geburtstag. Werke 1929-1942" und ehrt damit den jüngsten der drei Söhne Lyonel Feiningers, der heute in Massachusetts lebt. T. Lux Feininger wurde am 11. Juni 1910 in Berlin geboren und kam schon mit 16 Jahren ans Bauhaus, wo er bei Oskar Schlemmer in der Bühnenklasse studierte. Bald wurde er Mitglied der legendären Bauhauskapelle und machte mit kühnen Fotografien vom Leben und Arbeiten am Bauhaus auf sich aufmerksam. Ab 1929 widmete er sich mit grosser Energie der Malerei. 1932 verliess T. Lux Feininger Deutschland in Richtung Paris und siedelte noch vor seinen Eltern 1936 in die Vereinigten Staaten über.
