Siliciclastic shelf sediments by R. W. Seiners, C. T.(Editors) Tilman( Book )

14 editions published in 1984 in English and held by 368 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

This volume is a collection of papers which, for the most part, were included in a symposium of Shelf Sandstone deposits sponsored by SEPM at the Annual Meeting in Denver in 1980. A variety of techniques are useful in documenting shelf depositional process and sand body geometries. Among these are sedimentary structures observed in outcrops and cores, biogenic data including trace fossils, micro- and macro-fauna, detailed seismic sections, and detailed subsurface correlations
Reservoir sedimentology( Book )

9 editions published in 1987 in English and held by 329 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

This volume is a collection of papers which focus on the sedimentology of siliciclastic sandstone and carbonate reservoirs. The papers were selected to show how detailed sedimentologic descriptions, when combined with engineering or other subsurface geologic techniques, yield reservoir models which may be used for reservoir management during field development and during secondary or tertiary enhanced oil recovery
Outcrops, fossils, geophysical logs, and tectonic interpretations of the upper Cretaceous Frontier Formation and contiguous strata in the Bighorn Basin, Wyoming and Montana by E. A Merewether( )

2 editions published in 2010 in English and held by 275 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Deep-water clastic sediments : a core workshop by SEPM Core Workshop( Book )

18 editions published between 1981 and 2014 in English and Undetermined and held by 215 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

This workshop provided an opportunity to view cores from a variety of deep water depositional settings and to demonstrate the application of process sedimentology in the interpretation of depositional environments from the study of cores and associated subsurface data. The studies deal with sedimentary sequences which have been interpreted as having been formed by deposition of non-calcareous, clastic sediment in relatively deep water and also have been concerned principally with coarser deep-water sediments of such stratigraphic sequences because of their potential as hydrocarbon reservoirs
Deep water canyons, fans, and facies : models for stratigraphic trap exploration : papers reprinted from the AAPG bulletin, special publications, and section publications( Book )

10 editions published between 1982 and 1984 in English and held by 196 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Incised valleys in time and space( Book )

7 editions published in 2006 in English and held by 189 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Shelf sands and sandstone reservoirs by R Tillman( Book )

11 editions published in 1985 in English and held by 185 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Shelf sandstone reservoirs are becoming a more and more common exploration target. What they are, how they may be characterized, and how they differ from shoreline and deep-water deposits in the subject of this publication. Shelf sands and sandstone reservoirs are among the more poorly understood types of sandstones. Continental, shoreline and deep water sandstones have all been studied in much more depth than have shelf sands and sandstones. However, during the last fifteen years significant progress has been made in understanding shelf sands and sandstones. Studies of modern sediments have allowed us to understand many of the depositional processes active on the shelf. This book is intended to be an up-to-date summary of shelf processes and products
Field guide for shelf and shoreline sandstones, Cretaceous Haystack Mountains Formation (Shannon equivalent), Wyoming by Roderick W Tillman( Book )

3 editions published in 1992 in English and held by 34 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Siliciclastic shelf sediments : based on a symposium sponsored by the Society of Economic Paleontologists and Mineralogists by Colo.) Society of Economic Paleontologists and Mineralogists. Meetings (1980 : Denver( Book )

4 editions published in 1984 in English and held by 20 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

"This volume includes a collection of six papers which were presented in a symposium on 'Shelf Sandstone Deposits' sponsored by the Society of Economic Paleontologists at the annual meeting in Denver in 1980. This volume is divided into three sections. The sections are arranged in a sequence proceeding from youngest to oldest. To date, the maximum amount of data available for making interpretations on shelf - sand depositional systems is from Mesozoic rocks, and this bias is reflected in this volume."
Shelf sand and sandstone bodies : geometry, facies, and sequence stratigraphy by Shelf sand and sandstone bodies( Book )

2 editions published in 1991 in English and held by 17 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Siliciclastic shelf sediments : based on a symposium( Book )

2 editions published in 1984 in English and held by 11 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Incised valleys in time and space( )

1 edition published in 2014 in English and held by 9 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

This volume grew out of two SEPM-sponsored events, an SEPM Research Conference that took place in Casper, Wyoming, in 2002 and an SEPM Research Symposium that was held at the AAPG/SEPM Annual Meeting in 2003. Several other papers have been added to broaden the range of examples presented. The theme of the volume, "Incised Valleys in Time and Space", has been chosen because of the comparison of valleys of different ages and in different settings is a valuable approach to understanding the role of the many factors that interact to create the valley and to emplace the subsequent valley-filling deposits
