The Snowman is one of the world's greatest modern fairytales. Originally the story started in 1978 as the best-loved book by Raymond Briggs. This was then adapted in to the hugely popular and Oscar-nominated animated movie in 1982, which is repeated every year at Christmas time in the UK. The animated show featured original music by Howard Blake, including the song 'Walking In The Air' which went on to become a No. 5 hit in the UK and has been performed and covered countless times across the world. The animated film was then extended in to this sell-out success stage show with a host of new characters and storylines. Captured in HD, this film documents the full-length show for the first time. As well as the much-loved characters of The Boy and The Snowman a whole host of characters are introduced, including dancing penguins, squirrels and reindeer, the Ice Princess, Jack Frost and of course Father Christmas. The show incorporates a blend of dance, breathtaking flying sequences and plenty of fun and seasonal magic. The performance is accompanied by a live orchestra, and includes the song 'Walking In The Air'
