Aleksander B Skotnicki(
Book
)
8 editions published between 2006 and 2008 in Polish and English and held by 59 WorldCat member libraries worldwide
A collection of testimonies and brief articles relating to Schindler's rescue of 1,100 Jews during the Holocaust. In the past several years, Skotnicki, a Polish physician living in Kraków (whose grandmother was murdered in Ravensbrück for helping Jews during the war), met with ca. 60 Schindler survivors who now live in Israel, the USA, and other countries (two of them live in Kraków) and registered their testimonies. He also collected articles about Schindler which appeared in the press in various countries. Many of the testimonies concern postwar relations of Schindler with "his" Jews living in Israel and his frequent visits there. Presents, also, testimonies by Poles who worked in Schindler's factory, as well as the history of his factory
