Optical coherence tomography in age-related macular degeneration : OCT in AMD by Gabriel Coscas( )

20 editions published between 2009 and 2016 in English and Undetermined and held by 451 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Rapid or even dramatic progress has been made in the field of AMD over recent years, leading to a constant revision of basic concepts. A wide range of fundus imaging modalities are now available, and this book explains the respective value of each technique. The information provided by OCT is presented logically by comparison with plain films, autofluorescence, fluorescein angiography, or indocyanine green angiography. Meticulous biomicroscopic examination of macular changes and the essential value of fluorescein angiography for the detection of anatomical alterations of the macula and for precise evaluation of lesions and their course by indocyanine green angiography have naturally led the author Gabriel Coscas to analyze the new data provided by OCT

Macular edema : a practical approach by Gabriel Coscas( )

13 editions published between 2010 and 2017 in English and held by 147 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

For many years diagnosing macular edema at an early stage has been a main difficulty. Recently, multiple and remarkable advances of modern imaging technologies which allow recognition of the main etiologies, have immensely improved its diagnosis and treatment. In this volume different patterns and etiologies of macular edema are described and the importance of preserving the photoreceptors at an early stage in order to retain center visual acuity is discussed. It brings together the most recent data and evidence-based medicine, and, on the other hand, the pathophysiological basis of macular edema and the different approaches for drug delivery to the posterior segment are presented. Recommendations for treatment procedures or different therapies have been carefully analyzed and considered prior to inclusion. 'Macular Edema - A Practical Approach' provides the ophthalmologist with a synthesis of knowledge to diagnose, to determine etiology, and to offer the patient viable treatment options for his benefit

2 editions published in 2013 in French and held by 129 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Retinal pigment epithelium and macular diseases by Gabriel Coscas( )

7 editions published between 1998 and 2012 in English and held by 123 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

This volume of Documenta Ophthalmologica Proceedings Series collects the scientific papers presented at the 2nd International Symposium on Retinal Pigment Epithelium and the 4th Meeting of the European Macula Group held in Genoa, May 29-June 1, 1996. The Symposium on Retinal Pigment Epithelium was promoted by the University Eye Clinic of Genoa as the natural continuation of the first Symposium held with great success in Genoa in 1988. The previous Meetings of the European Macula Group were held in Coimbra (1988), Crete (1989) and Athens (1994). I was greatly pleased and honoured to host the fourth congress of this distinguished Society and I am grateful to Gabriel Coscas, Jose Cunha-Vaz and George Theodossiadis, found ers of the Society, for selecting Genoa on this occasion. The two meetings integrated well in an unicuum and brought together an exceptional number of outstanding retinal specialists coming from all over the world. All the aspects of the current research concerning retinal pigment epithelial and macular diseases were covered. Several interesting presentations regarded new techniques of retinal and choroidal imaging. A full session was dedicated to the latest advances in culture and transplantation of retinal pigment epithelial cells. Age-related macular degeneration was a major subject for discussion, including new approaches to treatment. This topic was high lighted by a mini-symposium on drusen, including a series of superb lectures on classification, clinicopathological studies, indocyanine green imaging, and laser treatment for prevention of choroidal neovascularization
Optical coherence tomography( )

7 editions published in 2014 in English and held by 93 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Because of its many advantages optical coherence tomography (OCT) has revolutionized the way in which retinal diseases are screened and managed and how treatments are monitored. In this volume the latest developments and findings are presented by experts in their respective fields. After a short introduction covering the available equipment and the basic techniques, the imaging features of various pathological findings in retinal diseases are presented. The topics cover the outer layers including new modalities for choroid imaging, out-layer diseases such as the various types of macular degeneration, retinal diseases such as diabetic retinopathy and vascular occlusion, and retina and vitreous interface pathologies. The final chapters are dedicated to the practicality of using OCT for the pre- and postsurgical evaluation of the posterior segment and for the differential diagnosis of vitreoretinal diseases as well as in the management of patients with retinal and neuro-ophthalmological diseases.Making the essentials of the recently held ESASO course on OCT available in one volume, this publication is a must-read for experienced as well as trainee ophthalmologists who need to use OCT in their daily practice

Angiographie infrarouge au vert d'indocyanine by Salomon Yves Cohen( Book )

1 edition published in 2001 in French and held by 24 WorldCat member libraries worldwide
