A short introduction to intuitionistic logic by
G. E Mint︠s︡(
)
38 editions published between 1992 and 2005 in English and held by 1,047 WorldCat member libraries worldwide
Intuitionistic logic is presented here as part of familiar classical logic which allows mechanical extraction of programs from proofs. to make the material more accessible, basic techniques are presented first for propositional logic; Part II contains extensions to predicate logic. This material provides an introduction and a safe background for reading research literature in logic and computer science as well as advanced monographs. Readers are assumed to be familiar with basic notions of first order logic. One device for making this book short was inventing new proofs of several theorems. The presentation is based on natural deduction. The topics include programming interpretation of intuitionistic logic by simply typed lambdacalculus (CurryHoward isomorphism), negative translation of classical into intuitionistic logic, normalization of natural deductions, applications to category theory, Kripke models, algebraic and topological semantics, proofsearch methods, interpolation theorem. The text developed from materal for several courses taught at Stanford University in 19921999

Per MartinLöf(
)
14 editions published in 1990 in English and Italian and held by 453 WorldCat member libraries worldwide
"This volume contains several invited papers as well as a selection of the other contributions. The conference was the first meeting of the Soviet logicians interested in com puter science with their Western counterparts. The papers report new results and techniques in applications of deductive systems, deductive program synthesis and analysis, computer experiments in logic related fields, theorem proving and logic programming. It provides access to intensive work on computer logic both in the USSR and in Western countries."Publisher's website

Book
)
8 editions published between 1996 and 2012 in English and held by 198 WorldCat member libraries worldwide
This collection contains translations of papers on propositional satisfiability and related logical problems which appeared in Problemy Sokrashcheniya Perebora, published in Russian in 1987 by the Scientific Council "Cybernetics" of the USSR Academy of Sciences. The problems form the nucleus of this intensively developing area. This translation is dedicated to the memory of two remarkable Russian mathematicians, Sergei Maslov and his wife, Nina Maslova. Maslov is known as the originator of the inverse method in automated deduction, which was discovered at the same time as the resolution method

5 editions published in 2016 in English and held by 31 WorldCat member libraries worldwide
Since their inception, the Perspectives in Logic and Lecture Notes in Logic series have published seminal works by leading logicians. Many of the original books in the series have been unavailable for years, but they are now in print once again. This volume, the twelfth publication in the Lecture Notes in Logic series, collects the proceedings of the European Summer Meeting of the Association of Symbolic Logic, held at the University of the Basque Country, San Sebastian in July 1996. The main topics were model theory, proof theory, recursion and complexity theory, models of arithmetic, logic for artificial intelligence, formal semantics of natural language, and philosophy of contemporary logic. The volume includes eleven papers from preeminent researchers in mathematical logic
