Reverend James Honyman (ca. 1675-1750), son of Reverend James and Mary Leaske Honyman was born In Kinneff, Scotland. He immigrated from Scotland to Newport, Rhode Island during or before 1704. In about 1705, he married Elizabeth Carr, daughter of Robert and Elizabeth Lawton Carr. Elizabeth was born in 1690 and died 28 February 1737. After her death, James married Mrs. Elizabeth Brown, widow of Captain John Brown. Elizabeth was the daughter of Governor John Cranston and his wife Mary Clark Cranston. Descendants and relatives lived in New England, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Washington, D.C., Ohio, Michigan, Missouri, Oregon, Wisconsin, Kansas, Colorado and elsewhere. Includes many ancestors in Scotland, England and elsewhere to the early 1500s
