It also looks at mountain rescue today. Mountains don't care is a mountain safety film featuring Ome Daiber, with Jim and Lou Whittaker. Internationale Bergrettunstagung in Tirol has historic footage of early mountain rescue techniques developed by Wastl Mariner and others in Austria and Germany in the 1940's.

The Dee Molenaar papers consist primarily of correspondence, diaries, maps, photographs, a manuscript, questionnaires, and other materials. The correspondence and questionnaires primarily relate to Molenaar's research on the history of mountaineering on Mount Rainier and the publication of his book. Correspondents include: Wolf Bauer, Fred Beckey, Chris Bonington, Nicholas Clinch, Norman Dyhrenfurth, Francis Farquhar, Ivar Haglund, Sir Edmund Hillary, Charles Houston, Robert F. Kennedy, Peter Misch, Noel Odell, Austin Post, Clark Schurman, James Ramsey Ullman, Willi Unsoeld, Ed Viesturs, Jim Whittaker, Jim Wickwire. The collection also contains twelve of Molenaaar's climbing diaries ("Fuhrerbuchs"), published landform-relief maps, black and white negatives of mountains and expeditions, and an unpublished manuscript.
