Outtake material from AMNH trustee Edgar Monsanto Queeny's film 'Sunrise serenades' was incorporated in this film, made by the AMNH Dept. of Education primarily for use by schools. The film shows how American Indians observed nature and how these observations influenced their dances. Included are: views of the sharp-tailed grouse and scenes from a Plains Indian dance; the American eagle and the Iroquois eagle dance; the mule deer and the Pueblo Indian deer dance; and the bison and the Plains Indian buffalo hunting dance.
