A second associated title, A propos du tombeau de Louis Ménard, is comprised solely of bound correspondence and calling cards. The printed book itself is a collection of remembrances of Ménard by various members of the fin-de-siècle literary and scholarly circles he frequented, including Maurices Barrès, Marcellin Berthelot, Jean-Léon Gérôme, Joris-Karl Huysmans, Pierre Louÿs, Robert Comte de Montesquiou, Henri de Régnier and Albert Sorel. Letters date 1901-1902 and contain further remembrances of Ménard as well as appreciation of the printed volume of Le tombeau.
