7 editions published in 2010 in English and held by 1,410 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

In 1401, Christine de Pizan (1365-1430?), one of the most renowned and prolific woman writers of the Middle Ages, wrote a letter to the provost of Lille criticizing the highly popular and widely read Romance of the Rose for its blatant and unwarranted misogynistic depictions of women. The debate that ensued, over not only the merits of the treatise but also of the place of women in society, started Europe on the long path to gender parity. Pizan's criticism sparked a continent-wide discussion of issues that is still alive today in disputes about art and morality, especiall

Le Cycle de "La Belle Dame sans Mercy" : une anthologie poétique du XVe siècle (BNF MS FR. 1131) by Alain Chartier( Book )

1 edition published in 2003 in French and held by 67 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

My struggle by David Hult( )

1 edition published in 2016 in English and held by 8 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

I believe our government does not work. I also think, the president can change this with an executive order to hold a special election that is outlined in the attached. Only a third, or less, of the population votes. State governments are engaged in voter suppression and gerrymandering. Our Congress has an approval rating of 15% or less. We cannot even hope for a balance the budget and start paying down the debt with our current Congress. Our elections are a pro forma meaningless affair. After the elections, the political bribes (campaign contributions that are legal bribery) from the rich and business control are Congress. We have a fascist government control by a cabal of the rich and business. We are no longer a representative form of government. We can say what you want and vote, but it means nothing. We need an executive order from the president for a special referendum election that will result in a new constitution and a new form of government. We need to create a national license Bureau that everyone registers to vote and obtain a national identification card. The NLB will run our national opinion polls, our elections, and our national referendums. If 51% of the population, from the last election, approves an item on the opinion polls list, then it becomes law. Pure democracy. Any politician who cannot maintains a 51% approval rating for two consecutive quarters will trigger a new election. We need to expand and enhance the congressional budget office. The CBO will be the gatekeeper for balancing the budget and paying down the debt at a rate of 2% a year. My Struggle is a roadmap for creating a government that works for everyone and reversed the downward financial slide of 80% of Americans that has occurred since 1970
