Johnny is framed by Shanghai's gang for the robbery and murder of the Bar-20 boss and, to make maters worse, he falls in love with a beautiful girl who happens to be Shanghai's daughter. In Heart of the west, veteran actor Sidney Blackmer plays cattle thief John Trumbull. When neighboring ranchers try to put up a fence to keep stolen cattle on their land, Trumbull angrily reacts, stampeding his heard to stop them. Hopalong comes to the rescue, exploding dynamite to reverse the stampede
