Lancelot, or, The knight of the cart = Le chevalier de la charrete by Chrétien( Book )

20 editions published between 1989 and 2010 in French and French, Old and held by 213 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

This poem was the first to introduce Lancelot as an important figure in the King Arthur legend. Lancelot tells of the adulterous relationship between the knight and his mistress, Guinevere, the wife of King Arthur. Thematically this poem differs from Chretien's other romances - Lancelot and Guinevere's love is a serious crime against their king, Lancelot casts aside his knightly ideals and reputation for the sake of his beloved, and Arthur is endowed with a weaker personality

L'art au point de vue sociologique by Jean-Marie Guyau( Book )

2 editions published in 1891 in Russian and held by 2 WorldCat member libraries worldwide
