Placing pictures in her scrapbook, a little girl named Linnea recalls a memorable trip to France with her neighbor, Mr. Bloom. Sharing a love of Claude Monet's paintings, the two journey from Sweden to Paris to see the artist's masterpieces firsthand. They visit the Musee Marmottan to view Monet's paintings and those of the other Impressionists. The next day, they take a taxi to Monet's home and gardens at Giverny. Linnea and Mr. Bloom stroll the grounds, observing the famous landmarks, like the water lilies and the Japanese bridge, that inspired the painter's masterworks. Linnea's French adventure is presented via animation, photography and live-action footage
