"Das Trio Wanderer hat nun auch alle Beethoven-trios veröffentlicht und findet dafür die richtige Balance. Schöner und feinsinniger lassen sich diese Werke kaum spielen" (ndr.de). "In dieser Aufnahme kommt wirklich alles zusammen: Ausdruckskraft, Spielsicherheit, pointierte Akzente, gut durchdachte Phrasierungen, ab und an gibt es auch mal eine ungewohnte Tempoverzögerung, die aufhorchen lässt. Auch die Abmischung der einzelnen Instrumente ist gut gelungen, insbesondere Cello und Geige klingen sehr warm, mit vollem Volumen, aber trotzdem nicht verkitscht, was gerade den langsamen Sätzen sehr zugute kommt. Das einzige, was man bemängeln könnte, ist der Klang des Klaviers. Das ist zwar sehr präsent, man hat also zur Abwechslung mal nicht das Gefühl, es stünde in irgendeinem Nebenzimmer, allerdings wurde hier dann doch ein bisschen dick aufgetragen. Durch die sehr direkte Aufnahme bleibt dem Klang wenig Raum zur Entwicklung, was einen sehr harten und etwas kargen Ton zur Folge hat. Das ist allerdings schon Nörgeln auf sehr hohem Niveau. Denn abgesehen davon, könnte diese Einspielung der Beethoven-Klaviertrios schon bald als Referenzaufnahme gehandelt werden" (kulturradio rbb)
