Elder William Wentworth was living at Exeter, New Hampshire, by 1639, and at Wells, Maine, from 1642-1649. In 1649, he moved to Dover, New Hampshire, where he lived most of the rest of his life. He was the father of at least eleven children. He died at Dover ca. 1696/7. Descendants lived in New Hampshire, Maine, Massachusettes, New York, Vermont, Illinois, and elsewhere

Godfrey Dearborn (b.ca.1600) emigrated about 1639 from Exeter, Devonshire, England to Massachusetts, and moved later to Exeter, New Hampshire. About ten years later, he moved to Hampton, New Hampshire. Descendants and relatives lived in New England and elsewhere. Henry Dearborn (1751-1830) was a physician who served in army during the Revolutionary War, becoming a colonel. He was present at Bunker Hill, Quebec, Saratoga, Monmouth, and Yorktown. He later was a federal congressman from Massachusetts, then Secretary of War under President Thomas Jefferson, and became a Major General during the War of 1812. He married three times, settled in Boston, and in 1822 was appointed as minister to Portugal. It was while he was Secretary of War that a new military post was built in Chicago, and named "Fort Dearborn."
