13 editions published between 1995 and 1998 in 3 languages and held by 654 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Die Schöpfung by Joseph Haydn( )

18 editions published between 1990 and 2006 in German and Undetermined and held by 329 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Haydn gave birth to a new type of oratorio that reflected perfectly the spirit of his time. With German texts, direct expression of feelings and many grand choruses, it stood for the transition from the aristocracy to a bourgeois society, in which music-making in a group was seen as an expression of civil pride. Extremely popular with amateur choirs, performances with a large ensemble became the rule until well into the 20th century. And the 1960 Electrola recording represents this tradition, with a top-class trio of soloists consisting of the great Elisabeth Grummer, outstanding tenor Josef Traxel and Gottlob Frick, "the blackest of all bass singers"

"Never performed by the London Philharmonic Orchestra before, and rarely heard in concert at all, the Requiem by Antonín Dvořák captured on this CD from a live concert seems a near-forgotten masterpiece. Dvořák scholar Gervase Hughes cites this work for four soloists, chorus and orchestra as one of the composer's finest sacred creations, 'a deeply moving expression of faith on the part of a composer whose religious conviction never wavered'"--Container
